State of Grace by Addison Clarke

ree

I came across this book based on a tweet from the author - saying there was another installment to her series. I was drawn in to the book cover and the series title: Moonflower Cove Romance. I thought it was a beautiful place just based on the name. I instantly knew I would read these books and like them. I was not able to put them down once I started them. Here are my thoughts and a bit about the book.

Blake Calloway is an actress in Hollywood who hasn’t had the best life growing up. Somehow love has eluded her, and she is not sure if she will ever find it. Alexis Holland had a rough life and one night changed her whole future. She has warranted off love, but will she ever allow herself to love again?

State of Grace was such a beautifully written book. I loved how the author gave each character a back story that really made you get to know the characters individually. I would have to say that there were so many wonderful characters. They were individually so different, but at the same time they all had similar qualities. It is so tough to choose just one character, but if I had to, I would have to say that I did like Alexis’s character the most. There were so many aspects of her that I could relate to on a personal level. These characters were very real to me. They were very relatable for many reasons. As I was reading this book, the story kept me on the edge of my seat. I kept thinking the story was going one way and then it would go another way.

I figure I would let you know my favorite part of the book, without giving any spoilers. There are several parts that I loved, and they all deal with each character allowing themselves to feel deeply about one another. I laughed, cried, and got a bit upset at times. I couldn’t put this book down and finished it in one day. I am on to the next book in this series. This book is part of a series by Addison Clarke’s A Moonflower Cove Romance. I would say that this book is for anyone who loves HEA (Happily Ever After), as well as a relationship drama.
