Where has this year gone and what I read so far?

Hello Everyone,

How are you doing? Hope you are all doing well. It seems that the months are just flying by. My apologies, I didn't get this post out last week. Where is the time going? I just don't feel that there are enough hours in the day to do everything I need or want to do. I had so many plans this year and so far I have marked a few off the list. However, life has just gotten in the way. I wasn't able to read as many books as I wanted to for the year. But, I was able to read about 10 books, not counting re-reads and audiobooks. I currently have a few audiobooks on repeat (Discovery by Melissa Tereze & By Design Book 1-3/4-6, Open Tab by JA Armstrong) as well as The Swan and Sparrow by Nancy Ann Healy. I just love to listen to these audiobooks, as it is an experience to listen to the narrator tell the story and feel the emotions of the characters. I am hoping to add more books to my audio collection (psst - I realized I have somewhat of a larger collection of audiobooks then I thought. I know it was probably too early to be excited for the holidays, but I got an electric fireplace installed in our entertainment center back in July. I was so excited to use i, which I just recently started using it. Texas weather has finally cooled down and is perfect to have a warm fireplace going all day. I was so happy to read and/or listen to a book, while lounging on the sofa drinking a nice warm cup of tea or glass of wine. The weather outside is just getting colder, while the house is being warmed by a fire.

We still had a few months of hot weather, especially being in Texas. We are just didn't get a break from this horrible heat this past summer. Who am I kidding, it was still hot in early November. I was a bit sad about that, since the summer is my favorite time, as I get to turn on the outdoor grill, grill some delicious food, grab a cold drink and enjoy the outdoors while blaring my radio. This summer was just way to hot for me to be outside enjoying the weather. We also had some serious setbacks medically. Thankfully, we have the medical issues behind us. All worked out and we are all healthy. Our dogs love to be outside in the summer when it isn't so hot. But this summer, they just went outside to do their business, bark and then come back inside. They didn't last more than 5-10 min during the day. However, at night they stayed out for about 15-20 min, as it is not as hot when the sun goes down. If you follow me on threads, you would have seen my new lizard friend Fallon. I posted a pic of him on his personal fav plant. He loves to chill on the plant and come out and say hi, after I have watered and misted the plant. I couldn't find him for a few days, but he finally came back. I will be posting random pics and stuff on Threads, stop by and check it out. However, Fallon decided to move away earlier this fall. Which was sad, but I did find a new little friend hanging out on our gutter. I will post a pic on my personal Instagram (the link will be on my socials page).

I also got my setup in place for my video game streams. I hoped to get that started, but I decided to go back to school to get my associates degree. Once I complete that accomplishment, I will start streaming on Twitch. I will be playing different video games and talking about my day to day, as well as the books I am reading. There might be a surprise in those specific videos. So once I get that up and running, maybe you will stop by and check it out. On that note, I also hope to start posting more as I get a better schedule for all that I need and want to do. I hope you will be patient with me. I am truly appreciative for all of you who have stopped by to like, comment and share any of my socials. I hope to get my author spotlight back up and I have a few other things I am working on in the background. I hope everything falls into place. Once again, thank you so much, it truly means a lot to me.

Enjoy your week,
