Flirting and Winter Snacks....

ree

Jaqueline doesn't disappoint. I have read a few of Jaqueline’s books. She writes beautiful sapphic stories with wonderful characters. I am a sucker for the happily ever-after. Her characters: Thea and Erin were so well developed and I fell in love with them almost instantly. I enjoyed reading this book the first time and it was even better a second time.

Thea got out of a relationship and moved across the country to New York. She has always felt something was off when it came to her romantic interests. That all changes when she meets Erin the Wedding Planner for her sister’s wedding. Erin runs her own wedding planning company out of New York. They each have to figure out what is going on between each other.

I will say that the character development was done beautifully. You got to know the characters individually based on their backstory as well as their current relationships. I completely fell in love with the scene in which Erin and Thea go to the store for munchies. I have to say it was so cute when Thea would just call Erin the Wedding Planner and Erin would call Thea by her full name. Thea and Erin’s flirting was done in a subtle way and not so in your face. I also loved the progress and development of their relationship.

Interestingly, I was able to resonate with the characters in different aspects. I was able to understand Thea’s attention to details, but at the same time completely understand Erin’s work ethic. I can understand how hard it is to explain to family why you made the choices you have.

If you are a sucker for an organic relationship and a slow burn, this is the book for you. I enjoyed it so much. There were so many parts of the book that I enjoyed, but I don’t want to give too much away. I will rate this book at the end of my review. Check out either “ Coral the Crab or Bubbles the Octopus.”
